“In this work, the artist creates a growth of both crystalline and organic interaction.
At one point, the outlines and internal structures remind you of a nano-image taken under a microscope; the next moment, the perspective shifts and a metaverse in the telescopic distance seems to have been brought very close to you. (…)
Marlen Tennigkeit herself speaks of an exploratory work process that is initially characterized by the lack of a clearly defined end result. She follows an inner image that is not yet tangible, but nevertheless urges to be brought to the surface. Lack of intention, inner movement and devotion are the driving forces behind her artistic exploratory work.
Risk and disappointment are factored in as collateral damage and turning away. Layer by layer, a parallel world full of premonitions develops, a fluid space that evokes associations and subsequent images."
